Nokia N900 Review

The Nokia N900 ups the ante for the N-series of internet tablets by being not only a MID, but also a phone, and introducing the latest version of the Maemo operating system. In an age of increasing smartphone innovation, can the N900 stand up to the competition, or will be knocked over by soon to be released devices?

Powerful, Value, Acer Liquid (A1) Now Available in EU. Review from FRAndroid.

When did you last see a 3G-capable, WVGA capacitive touch, 5Mp, high-power platform with a huge application library for 350 Euros? The Acer Liquid appears to be lowering the entry point into the new, high-powered smartphone category.

The Archos 5 Internet Tablet on the Android OS was first available at the beginning of October 2009 and we bought an SSD version as soon as it became available. Here’s a full, in-depth review of the current build of the Archos 5 32GB SSD Internet Tablet.

Milestone, N900, Omnia Pro in Side-By-Side Photos.

Last week I had the chance to check out the Milestone, the GSM version of the Motorola Droid. With its powerful processor and what I call a ‘dynamic’ operating system (which basically means you can load up apps and mess around with fun widgets) it is definitely a leading light in the web-centric smartphone for me. I own an Omnia Pro and I’ve got the N900 here as a test device so although I only had a short time with the Milestone I managed to take a quick set of photos which I’ve put into the gallery.

Review: W1060 7-inch MID from WireLession

The WireLession W1060, also known to many as the Witstech A81, is a brand new MID (mobile internet device) using the Cortex A8 processor which is the same processor being used in the iPhone and the Archos 5 Android Tablet. WireLession is a distributor of the A81, and has re-branded it with their own designation (W1060) and logos. Last time I checked, the device was priced at $220 on WireLession’s site.

Mini-Review: Misticaudio Case for Archos 5 IT (Android)

First of all, thanks to Jeff Hill of Misticaudio for sending over this case for review. They’ve stepped in at just the right time with a leather case for the Archos 5IT that fits well, doesn’t impact on the usability of the device and looks great at a very acceptable cost. $28 is a good [...]
